Prior to becoming a cinematographer, Phil Briggs spent fifteen years as a cyclist racing all over North America, Europe and Asia. Fast forward several years and he is now traveling the world shooting award winning narratives, music videos and commercials. Phil took home the Golden Reel Award (Tiburon International Film Festival) and Best Cinematography (Long Island International Film Expo) in 2006 for a short he directed and shot. His most recent work “The Boat Builder” produced by Rick Bosner(Fruitvale Station) shot in the Bay area stars Christopher Lloyd, Jane Kaczmarek and David Lascher. “My passion for telling stories and my desire to entertain and emotionally impact people with my imagination and beliefs is where I gain my inspiration. Great films and everyday life inspire me to be a better filmmaker."
